地球の皆さんこんにちは！

クロージングブランド"GENT-X" の

デザイナー　ディレクター　星野です。

生まれつき反抗的で偏屈な私は

極東　日本でアンチファッション　アンチエブリシングな

少し変わったクロージングブランドをオーバーグラウンドに

出る事なく25年以上続けています。

このコラムを執筆中、回想すれば。

熱心なファンが少数いるので続ける事が可能だったんですね。

”HOLY BARBARIAN SWEAT SHIRTS”

U.S. BEATNIK TEAM のロゴがフェルトのカットアウトで

縫い付けられています。

スウェットのボディは知人がオリジナル製作してくれたもので

糸、撚り　編み　見た目　着心地　究極まで拘った。

ほとんど完璧な理想に近い物です。

フェルトに関しても、グラフィックのアウトラインが正確に出す。

ただそれだけの為に加工されたスペシャルな物です。

（BEATNIKS）と言う言葉は殆どの日本人には本質的に理解不能です。

(解ったような事を言いたがる人は沢山いますね、、。)

シニカルなのか？アイロニカルであるのか？シリアスであるのか？

私個人も所謂ビートの文化を標榜する事はなく、文学も風俗もファッションも

追いかけることはしないです。

ただ、僕個人は非同調主義（個人主義）、自発的創造性を追求し服を作り続けています。

ジャズは聞かないけど、とにかくパンクロックが好きだし、ポエトリーリーディング

はしないけど、エドワードバンカーやマリオプーゾの様な美しい文学!?を愛している。

願わくば、沢山の人向けて（読者にとっては少し難解な）コラムを執筆してます。

その様な生活こそがより本質的にビートに近いものと考えています。

最後に、僕個人はとても難解な人間ですが、作っている服は、とてもシンプルです。

Hello everyone across the world!

I'm Hoshino, designer and director of the clothing brand "GENT-X". I was born rebellious and stubborn, I've run this slightly unconventional clothing brand in the Far East, Japan, for over 25 years, staying underground and embracing anti-fashion, anti-everything.

As I write this column, looking back... It was only possible to keep going because of a small group of dedicated fans. Thank you all.

"HOLY BARBARIAN SWEAT SHIRTS"

The U.S. BEATNIK TEAM logo is stitched on using a felt cutout. The sweatshirt body was originally crafted by an acquaintance, obsessively refined to the ultimate level in thread, twist, knit, appearance, and comfort. It's nearly perfect and close to the ideal. Regarding the felt, it was specially processed solely to ensure the graphic's outline is rendered precisely. It's a special piece made just for that purpose.

U.S. BEATNIKTEAM

The term BEATNIKS is fundamentally incomprehensible to most Japanese people. Though plenty of people like to pretend they understand... Is it cynical? Is it ironic? Is it serious? Personally, I don't espouse so-called Beat culture, nor do I chase its literature, customs, or fashion. I simply pursue non-conformism, individualism and spontaneous creativity; continuing to make clothes.

I don't listen to jazz, but I love punk rock. I don't do poetry readings, but I adore beautiful literature!? like Edward Bunker and Mario Puzo. I write columns that is perhaps a bit difficult for readers in hoping to reach many people. I believe such a life is more fundamentally close to the Beats.

Finally, I am a very complicated person, but the clothes I make are very simple.
